Don’t be Afraid to be Spontaneous

We don’t need employees of the month, we need employees of the moment!

Praise and employee’s efforts at a meeting.
After a brutal day, make a point of personally thanking those involved before you go home.
Have an employee go to a meeting in your place to provide them higher visibility.
Leave “great job” post-its, cards, etc. around employee’s desk or locker
Ask Director to send a note of appreciation
Leave a recognition voice-mail after hours for employees to hear the first thing in the morning.
Pop in during a team meeting and thank members for their involvement.
Notice the little things and thank your employee for being dependable.
