Operations & Maintenance
 The
Building Operations and Maintenance Section is responsible for
maintenance work requests, emergency off-hours response, preventive
maintenance and normal daily operation of the systems serving the
customers in our facilities, from maintenance of building utilities to
environmental conditions and fume hood operations.
Groups within the section also coordinate elevator maintenance,
the Service Order System (SOS), the State of Washington equipment
inspections, radio dispatch service, equipment inventory, maintenance
history and funding documentation.
The Building Operations Group includes 13 building zones. This group provides the initial response to trouble call service orders during the normal Monday through Friday workday operations. This group also performs scheduled preventive maintenance and will be instituting a predictive maintenance program for over 2000 individual pieces of equipment during the next biennium, 2001-2003.
