Maintenance & Repair
The Repair and Maintenance Group includes the Key Shop, Refrigeration
Shop, Plumbing Section, Electrical Section, Roofing Shop, Machine Shop,
and Structural Repairs and Glazing Section.
KEY SHOP:
The
Key Shop programs and repairs electronic locks including replacement of
batteries on a recharge basis. Repair
locks in academic, research and administration buildings and opening and
re-keying locks where keys have been lost for these facilities.
Re-keying/repining locks for departmental offices; suites and
laboratory access are accomplished by this shop on a recharge basis.
Cutting and issue of additional keys requested by departments for
areas under their administrative control are accomplished by this shop
on a recharge basis.
ROOFING SHOP:
The
Roofing Shop maintains and repairs/replaces roof on all W.S.U.
facilities including housing and dining services facilities.
Maintenance and repair/replacement of gutter systems and
downspouts, flashing and roof drains is also a responsibility of this
shop.
STRUCTURAL REPAIRS/GLAZING:
The
Structural/Glass Section repairs walls and ceilings constructed of
materials other than plaster or masonry, repairs doors and auxiliary
equipment, repairs and replaces windows, mirrors, relites in doors and
repairs or replaces fixed classroom seating and other furniture.
