BUILDING INFORMATION
Facilities must meet the following criteria to qualify for the program:
- Facility has accurate metering on
one or more energy sources (electrical, steam, or natural gas) with
historical data sufficient to develop a full year Energy Baseline.
- The Facilities Operations Energy Group
will be responsible for developing a monthly Energy Baseline for each
qualifying facility metered energy source, based on the historical
facility energy use records.
- Incentives will be provided only on individual utilities meeting the above criteria.
More program information concerning the buildings:
- Some buildings contain large chillers
used to furnish cold water to the campus for air conditioning in the
warmer months (April thru October). As they are large energy
loads and currently are not metered, the baseline for affected
utilities are "zeroed out" for those months and no incentives will
accrue.
- The Energy Baseline for a qualified
facility energy source will be adjusted annually to reflect the Campus
Energy Reduction Goals.
-The Facilities Operations Energy Group will make Energy Baseline adjustments at interim points as required to reflect significant changes in the anticipated energy use of the facility resulting from Energy upgrade implemented through the Energy Services Performance Contracting (ESPC) process.
-Energy Baselines will not be adjusted for equipment added to the facility by the occupant groups during the pilot program. Occupants are requested to consider the impact of new equipment on energy use as part of their planning process and look for ways to reduce other loads to maximize possible incentives.
- As reliable metering is expanded on
the campus more facilities will join the program.
