If you would like to learn more about energy conservation and individual steps you can take to eliminate energy waste in your working and living areas, please consider the tips listed under "Individual Actions."

Be innovative and experiment in your own “spaces”. Try these suggestions and look for other ways to reduce energy use and still maintain a quality work and living environment. As you have noticed from recent articles in the newspaper, the high costs and potential limitations on supply of electricity and natural gas are not limited to just Washington State University but are common to the western states. Reducing our individual energy consumption can have a very real beneficial effect on these widespread problems. It is obvious that our power is in community-wide response – the small result of one person’s effort multiplied 20,000 times.
