Move-out & Pitch-in Program Summary

The WSU Waste Wise program has organized the Move Out & Pitch In program in 22 residence halls located on campus. The halls are divided up among organizations such as Harvest House, Palouse Industries, Ritzville Pet Rescue, and other non-profit and philanthropic organizations that were willing to use their volunteers to service the numerous collection sites for reusable items.   The organizations work together to distribute the donations evenly. Everything is either donated to charities to be given directly to those in need, or placed into rummage sales to raise funds to support other charitable programs. the WSU is committed to improving the condition of College Hill along with local charitable and neighborhood organizations, to combat issue of dumping on College Hill.
