Central Receiving supports the University's teaching, research and outreach mission by providing efficient and cost effective delivery services for all goods moved to, from and between departments on the Pullman campus and other WSU sites around the state.

 

Services Provided

Central Receiving provides comprehensive shipping services to the WSU campuses. Including:
  • Receive and efficiently deliver incoming freight for the WSU Pullman Campus
  • Pick up and ship outbound freight for the WSU Pullman Campus
  • Provide cost-effective, value-added freight quotes utilizing discounted freight contracts
  • Provide Courier service between select campuses and research centers
  • Receive and efficiently deliver animals for the WSU Pullman Campus
  • Arrange and coordinate cost-effective, value-added freight services for specialized transportation requests
  • Accurately complete all orders generated using the PAPR mainframe application
  • Provide Hazardous Materials shipping and processing with the exception of hazardous waste and radioactive materials.
  • Process damage claims

    • Authorized Customers
    Central Receiving provides shipping services to Washington State University departments and affiliated research units conducting official university business. Shipping services are not available to the general public, private businesses, staff, students or faculty.

    Central Receiving is staffed
    7:00 am-5:00 pm Monday thru Friday    		 Auto freight is accepted
    7:00 am-2:30 pm Monday thru Friday

    Location
    Central Receiving is located on Dairy Road. From Stadium Way or Airport road turn on to Grimes Way then turn south on Dairy Road. Central Receiving is located at 100 Dairy Road in the Receiving and Delivery building. Student Mail is located across the parking lot from Central Receiving in the Material Resource Services building. The official shipping address is:
